Video Events ("we", "us", "our") is an Auckland-based live streaming, event video and photography business. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

When you ask us for a quote or contact us, we collect the details you give us:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Event details, such as the date of the event, the address of the venue, the type of event and any notes you add

We only ask for what we need to prepare a quote and deliver the service. Please don't send us sensitive information (such as financial or health details) in enquiry forms or messages.

2. How you may give us your information

• Our website — enquiry and quote forms on videoevents.co.nz.
• Facebook and Instagram ads — if you submit a lead form or click through from one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram (Meta), the details you enter are passed to us so we can follow up your enquiry.
• Google Ads and search — if you reach us via a Google ad or search result and submit one of our forms.
• Phone and email — when you call or email us directly.

3. How we use your information

• To contact you about your enquiry and prepare a quote
• To plan and deliver your event, including confirming the date and venue
• To send invoices and manage bookings
• To follow up on quotes you have requested, and to respond to questions
• To measure and improve our website and advertising

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted third-party services to run our business. They may process your information on our behalf, and only for the purposes described in this policy:

• LeadConnector / GoHighLevel — our customer management and enquiry form system, where your enquiry details are stored.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — where you enquire through our ads on those platforms. Meta's use of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
• Google — for website analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics and Google Ads).
• Elfsight and Wistia — to display reviews, social feeds and video on our website.
• Email, accounting and payment providers we use to communicate with you and manage invoicing.
• Our partner operators in New Zealand and Australia — if your event is outside Auckland, we may pass your enquiry details (name, email, phone, event date and venue address) to a partner live streaming and video business near the event so they can quote and deliver it. They may contact you directly, and they are expected to use your information only for your event.

Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle information appropriately. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, and may use the Meta pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.

6. Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including using reputable, access-controlled systems. No online service is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet our accounting and legal obligations. If you'd like us to delete your enquiry details, let us know and we'll do so unless we're legally required to keep them.

8. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you or to delete your details. To do any of these, email us at the address below.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
